Jenna Fischer's most famous role was in the role of Pam Beesly from the popular television series The Office. In recognition of her work, she was awarded the Emmy award for Best Actress in the Supporting Role. In addition, she won 2 SAG Awards.
Her birthplace was Fort Wayne, Indiana, however, she grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. Jenna saw her mother, Anne, perform in performances at church while she was a child and was able to instill a love of theater and performance.
She is a trained actress who returned to the stage after The Office. She played Josh Hamilton in Neil LaBute's Off-Broadway production Reasons to Be Happy. She went on to star at the premiere world-wide of Steve Martin's newest play Meteor Shower, an absurdist comedy opposite Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg, for a record-breaking show at the Old Globe Theatre.
In October 2019, Fischer and The Office actor and friend Angela Kinsey began the podcast Office Ladies on the Earwolf platform, which has gained immense popularity, settling on the Top Ten globally every week and receiving over 200 million downloads within the first two years. Office Ladies received the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Year Award in January 2021.
She's written two books: The Actor's Life, a Survival Guide in which she describes her path to Hollywood as a working actor, and Office BFF's, Tales of The Office from Two Best Friends that Were There an account of the most memorable friendships they enjoyed and their time on The Office.
